- The scheme is specifically designed for households and cannot be utilized for business purposes.
- Customers will be billed for any electricity usage beyond the allocated 200 units provided under the program.
- Individuals whose monthly electricity consumption falls below the eligible threshold of 200 units will not receive any bills.
- The registration process on the Seva Sindhu website ensures easy access to the benefits of the Gruha Jyothi Scheme, enhancing convenience for interested individuals.
- To benefit from the Gruha Jyothi Scheme, individuals must register on the Seva Sindhu website and link their Customer ID/Account ID to their Aadhar card.
- Outstanding bills accrued before June 30 must be settled within three months to avoid electricity disconnection.

Application Process for Karnataka Gruha Jyothi Yojana

- Even if the electricity bill is generated by the officer for a household that has used only 200 units, it will still be considered valid, and the meter reading will be reset to zero by the officer.
- For households that consume up to 200 units of electricity, there is no payment required for the electricity usage.
- This process will occur on a monthly basis, ensuring continued access to free electricity.
- However, if a household exceeds the 200-unit limit and uses 201 units or more in a given month, they will be required to pay the electricity bill for the additional units, while the first 200 units remain exempt from payment.
